Children’s Programs

The STPL Children’s Department offers programs for children and families of all ages, including storytimes, craft and sensory programs and special and seasonal events. To register for programs and more information, visit our calendar of events.

Please be aware that the Library reserves the right to photograph program participants. Photos are for library use and may be used in library publicity materials. Patrons who do not wish to be photographed should notify library staff.

Following the Every Child Ready To Read simple practice — Read — STPL’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten helps parents and other caregivers develop early literacy skills in children from birth to age four.

Signing up for the program is simple; stop into the Children’s Department to fill out a library card application and then create your child’s account on Beanstack to easily log your child’s reading from the convenience of your phone or computer!
